Character Description:
(At least one to two paragraphs describing your character’s physical appearance, including height, eye color, and skin tone.)
Standing at 6 '7 Aubry is rail thin she might weigh 150 pounds soaking wet. She happily describes her figure as a bag of twigs with hands, feet and a head if you can find it. Her hair is straight and thin and so dark red it looks black her hairline is interrupted by a pair of long yellow antennae like that of a massive hornet with a set of scars that circle the base of them. Her face has a dusting of chicken poxs scars populating her cheeks and her left ear is callaflowered. Her eyes are just as strange as her antenna. She has eight in total. Her primary set of eyes are just as one might expect from a half elf, except that her irises are a metallic gold; she has two pairs of secondary eyes that are a dark red. One set just above the outer edge of her main eyes and the other by the outer corner of her main eyes. Her tertiary two eyes are pinhole eyes on the very outer edge of her face like little black beads that can only see by the strictest of definitions of sight. Over the main six she can be found wearing reading glasses in her more private times. She just doesn't read in public.
On her back she has a pair of large hornet wings. That she keeps under a cloak or other garb when not performing.
She will often wear hats and style her hair to hang over the extra eyes.
Aubry prefers to dress bright and colorful often in colors that clash and are eye-catching when she is performing she is more open about her half demon traits Though she does begrudgingly wear clothes that lend to hiding in a crowd better when she needs to.
She on occasion will shed the carapace over her antenna, this can cause them to grow back should she lose one. Losing her antenna is extremely painful to the point she can not remove them on her own and losing them otherwise will see her passing out from the pain.
To be 100% clear her three demon traits are Multiple eyes all located clustered by where her eyes would normally be her main two eyes in addition have metallic irises.
A pair of large hornets wings(no she can't fly with these.)
And a pair of antennas that help her feel and smell the air around her.
Character Occupation: (Optional)
Aubry is an entertainer at heart, playing the flute and dancing for coppers when she can. She was half trained on glass blowing but her education on it is far from complete. She is adept at weaving baskets and the like from reeds; she has some basic skills in wood carving and sewing for making simple toys. Though if you asked her to make anything that can even be remotely described as complicated she will fail spectacularly.

(At least one to two paragraphs describing their personality traits and/or quirks.)
Aubry loves more than anything to make others happy. She loves to please and loves to receive positive attention. She works hard to hide her anger and spite in public. Letting out that frustration often in the privacy of her own home in the form of breaking things when things get bad enough. She is often made nervous when performing this leads to her trying to make others laugh to break the tension. She is someone who for good and bad is quick to learn a lesson and slow to unlearn it. She is skeptical of most others' intent, rarely fully trusting others to be fully honest with her. She herself has tendency to exaggerate and sometimes outright lie about herself and her accomplishments
Character Biography:
(At least three paragraphs describing your character's history and experiences, you must reference server lore)
Rickter was a half elven glassworker who married a half elven cooper named Cassandra both of them lived the hard lives of half elves. Each of them were abandoned children themselves. who have struggled with prejudice their entire lives being hunted by and once they were finally established somewhere they were each in their own time forced to flee what they built to exist in the much more mixed company of barkemsted where they had to start over again. But there they met each other. And it was not long before they wed.
There they stayed for years. Eventually after an attack Cassandra was possessed. It was a miracle she survived. This attack permanently scarred the couples relationship Rickter was stuck in the hellish place of he had his wife do horrible things and he knows that she wasn't responsible for those actions and knows that he has no right to be upset with her specifically about it but that doesn't change that it was her face and her hand that did them. But one of the things that saw them though was an attitude of denial just to pretend like nothing was wrong. Eventually the aftermath of the attack resulted in twin girls Aubry and Sara glass. The couple debated for sometime what to do with the twin half-demons. But in the end. They knew very well what it meant to be hunted and hated for the circumstances of one's birth. So it was out of compasion and understanding that they kept the pair. Despite the urgings of those around them. This made the glass family something of a pariah but the demands of the war and the necessity of their work kept them fed if not comfortable. The children would be disguised. Wearing hats and bonnets and the like that could be used to cover their eyes and antenna. It was during the plagues that it happened. Tensions were high and they avoided the worst of the plague. It was during one of these tenser days that someone spotted one of Saras extra eyes. This caused something of a panic centered around the two 9 year olds. In the panic a crowd formed this crowd rapidly turned into a mob intent on lynching the pair as either a weapon of the cult or a pair of demons to cause havoc. Its was only because of their father taking a severe beating to stall them and a timely appearance by the guard that they survived. It was the conversation with their father that changed their outlook the most. He told them about taking pride in oneself. About his own time being hunted by high elves. That he understood and would love them regardless of anything. This talk had little effect on Sara who suffered more from the mob, a loathing of her demonic traits that had been building already into fruition. But Aubry took the opposite. She took the knowledge that no matter what others said that there would be those that will still love her to heart.
After this the glass household was both tight knit and very contentious. Most of their fights were with the sara and their father. Cassandra was a dower and timid woman who preferred to keep out of their conflicts. This left Aubry to be something of a peacekeeper. Discovering that disaster could often be avoided if she got one of the two to laugh. It would be enough to release the tension. This tactic did at times just turn the two off of each other and turn their anger to aubry instead.
They endured through the ca’liar invasion of barkemsted being able to escape the worst of the attack but their home was in ruins afterwards. Raided of what little they had, their home burned. They were forced into falkvard. Starting over was grueling; they survived on the church's kindness, eating what handouts they could get. But they managed if only just. Though it all Aubry developed the philosophy that if she kept acting happy she would be happy that she had to keep smiling regardless of what happened and that it would make things even slightly better. She kept this through the muggings and beatings that happened if she was caught alone. She already had to work to keep her emotions in check more than others even though she never made active use of her dark magic; she would occasionally slip into using small bursts of it every now and then when she was particularly upset.
It was just after the royal wedding. They had reestablished their businesses and had some steady work. Aubry was making some small coin selling little bits and bobs she could carve. Learning some of her parent’s crafts she was an awful apprentice to them both too easily distracted with her flute or day dreams. But news had gotten to them quick their mother was caught in an affair with a high elf woman. The high elf’s own husband had caught the pair in the act and threw them out naked onto the street and made sure to call the guard down on the two.
Aubry never got to see her mother again. Cassandra was arrested, humiliated and mutilated seeing her life as destroyed beyond repair. She never made it home; she instead threw herself to the sea, never seen living again. This fractured what remained of the family. Sara left home. Joining the military . Eventually joining the pine forest campaign. Leaving Aubry alone with their father who was despondent after the loss of his wife and the shock of the whole situation. He began to drink heavily and started working less and less. Forcing Aubrey to do more and more to support the pair of them. This got harder as he started to drink and drink heavily. This resulted in Aubrey having to hide their money from him only for him to find it and spend all of it on a bender that would last days. This cycle lasted for years. And this resulted in her fights with her father getting progressively more explosive. This built and built till with the rising prices of food and supplies with the year long winter. The fights started coming to blows. It was during one of these fights that it happened. She was hit by her father and so she hit him in return. But the drunken man fell and fell badly hitting his head on the way down. Aubry panicked seeing the growing pool of blood. While she knew that head wounds bleed a lot from an old attempt to cut her and her sisters antenna off. She was sure she killed the man. She did not check. She simply found an oil lantern and smashed it on the ground setting the house on fire and fled the home into the frozen wilds. She was sure that she was going to be caught and executed for her crime. She got away with pure luck. No one saw her leave and it was normal for her to avoid her home when her father was at his worst.to the world her father died drunk in a fire stumbling with their lantern. It was there that she realized that she was alone for the first time truly alone. She hated herself. She took off to find her sister. To find an ally to find something of comfort.
She never told her sister about the death of their father. And she stopped replying to letters after the reclamation of the crossroads. Aubry was adrift, unsure of what to do next. But she would continue to force herself to smile trying to fill the void in her heart.

Magic Biography:
(At least three paragraphs about your character's relationship to magic, and how they may discover their potential.)
Aubry has always struggled against her magic. She could feel it always there. Like it was asking her to use it. And she does slip up occasionally. Never so often to grow beyond weak. But she has memories of throwing temper tantrums over things she could not remember only to have the severe headache to cause her to forget whatever was bothering her so the very young half demon could cry over the pain that drawing on her magic more than she could feasibly.
As she grew she gained more of a hold on herself and her magic. Her struggle against her magic was some of what helped birth her cheery and overly positive persona. It was in part overcorrection against the influences of dark magic. She always assumed that dark magic only ever influenced the negative of her emotions. Never having the grasp enough to understand it still affected her positive emotions too. But she has an incredibly hard time telling when she is being influenced. She has been influenced by it for as long as she could actively remember.
She gained a deeper grasp over the magic as she grew. Never really indulging in it, wanting to understand the magic better before she blew herself up. That is in fact what got her to want to curb her casting in the first place being told that should trinkets be overexerted they could explode. Though her father at the time told her and her sister this didn't actually know that that could happen. But it worked well to get his daughters to try hard not to overly cast the illegal magic
Please describe the magic system, including its limitations in your own words:
(Two Paragraphs, please mention how one would cast, the limitations to casting and specific races, and the consequences of overuse)
Okay so 3rd or 4th times the charm. So so so. Magic in saphriel is neat but you don't need me, the lovely mae to tell you that. So, magic, or bothimirs gift. Is the ability to do crazy stuff though trinkets. These trinkets come in levels and types. The levels ranging from weak to divine. If you want to cast magic you gotta have a trinket well there are expectations to this like the beast races and half demons who can both cast their magics to medium but for most people you gotta have a trinket these trinkets come in all kinds of flavors from ice to alteration to lightning to illusion. There are also the funky cool soul magics that dont come from bothimir like all the rest those come from aderoth and behmos each in charge of holy and dark respectively.
But you can't just slim slam into being a god like fire avatar. You gotta train that shit. It's like working a muscle you have to train a bit before you can cast anything above weak. That also means your going to hit the WALL of your casting limit a lot just dont go past that because that could cause shit from the ooo ouchy headache to a full fucking seizure to just straight up dying. Now if you have a trinket and you can cast above that trinkets level. Then dont do that cause the trinket could break or even explode if your dumb or desprate enough.
Now lets talk aspects cause if you're casting magic you gotta know about those. So if you want to cast above medium you're going to aspect into that magic type. That means you are locked into that type.but you can only have so many aspects. So pick 'em good. Now this is where your race matters a lot for magic. So you will have a limited amount of aspects, some like the chad high elves can have 4 of these. Dark elves get none and cant cast magic at all. Some races like the ca’liar in addition to being able to cast innately are forced into aspecting into their innate magic type. So all that to say if your orc can cast strong fire and strong holy thats it thats all the high level casting they get, now they CAN learn other magics up to medium just never past that.
So cool you got your snack and ability to cast some cool spells but whoa whoa whoa you gotta know the limits so all magic in order to operate you have to either be able to touch it or you gotta be able to see it. You can do neither of those you dont get to magic it up.
Please describe how you would use a weak trinket with your characters first/only aspect:
(Try to be creative, while acknowledging its limitations and utility uses)
Aubry could with weak. Wiggle her shadow. Make her hands covered in shadow as a part of a trick. If she really wanted she could profane some water but there was no real need for that. She could make the shadow of the door stretch to help block that annoying beam a morning sun that is hitting her directly in the face.
-Please note that some aspects are set when a character is born, while others are up to practice. The number of aspects you have is limited by your character's race, but they may have less than the max should you so choose, but they will not be able to regain that lost aspect naturally-

Hi Mae, thank you for your application! The app bio is very spicy in places, very interesting, but I'm not convinced that her parents wouldn't have just seen two hornet-looking children and were horrible about it given not only the nature of Half-Demons themselves, but what is usually the circumstance of their birth. There's no huge mention of how the father dealt with his wife being possessed since it seems she barely survived and so he likely would have known. Half-demons are seriously looked down upon and I need you to really convince me as to why they wouldn't have just dumped them somewhere or made an attempt on their lives. The mother would also have a real hard time killing herself in an Elven jail; it's more likely she would have been kept alive and the mom would more likely have been humiliated and mutilated to a point where she wishes she was dead. So I'll need this corrected! The reason this is a flat-out denial rather than a pending is because I think the parents and their details are very important ones.
Otherwise, the magic app is... Accepted!
