Character Name: Natalia Savinkov
Age: 49
Gender: Female
Character Description:
Olive-tinted skin, hazel eyes, and side-cut hair all strewn into a fine ponytail. Her hair remains as a raven, with a heavy streak of white working its way down the locks. Natalia's youth as a farmhand on her father's farm and a current life of magical trickery and athletics kept a more slim and mildly athletic tone in regards to her body. Standing at a touch more than the standard height of 5'7. Her left arm appears to have a layer of practically magical volcanic rock, even appearing near molten. However it is hindering the movement and causing some difficulty with menial tasks. Even the fingers were laced with an almost sharp touch at the end.
Her attire remains the classic black and golden sorcerer outfit. Set up for more of a courtside mage than anything combat-related with the severe lack of armor save for the decorated shoulder pauldron on her left. The outfit easily clung to her skin, opting for more looks than actual utility. heels, and plenty of dangling chains around her waist.
Character Occupation: Jeweler
Character Personality/Traits:
Age and past experience hit her like a bombshell, granting her a new outlook on life. Now that she knows herself better and what she likes, she displays a layer of self-confidence and all the knowledge she has retained about acting nice and proper. Holding a soft smile on the face often and being able to keep it going. Although oftentimes, when it comes to things she does truly like or want, she'll get the moves going for them. Smiles here, offers of drinks there, and a few suggestive words.
Although old flames still continue to burn and flicker, some of that more fiery less restrained temper still lingers. Lest she finally gets upset, oh things will burn. While she might be slow to anger or someone hits a certain weak spot in her emotion, so will her temper and flames rise up.
Character Biography:
Confidence can often be a double-edged sword, leading to success and prosperity on one hand, and downfall on the other. Natalia knows this all too well. Once recognized as a prosperous member of the mage's guild, she proudly held the title of "mage of magma". But everything changed when personal issues, stress and years of distrust took their toll. She soon found herself abandoning nearly everything before embarking on a nomadic path with only a few notable trinkets left to practice with.
It was during the long winter that Natalia faced her toughest challenge yet. Clad in gathered leather and fur materials for warmth, she struggled to survive the harsh environment. Her journey led her back home - a desolate homestead ravaged by the pact war that had left it barren and bleak. Despite the odds against her, Natalia refused to give up as she bravely fought against freezing temperatures and unforgiving terrain to reach her destination. Though a desolate homestead was far from the actual sight. It was bewildered to see her old home rebuilt and occupied. Who the hell was there? She had to find out. So thus leading to a kicking in of the door.
Upon breaking into the home, Natalia was shocked to find several voodoo charms, witchcraft objects, and even a cauldron. The individual within the house had initially seemed like mere squatters until they turned around to reveal themselves as Natalia's mother. Despite having aged minimally since their last encounter decades ago, the reunion quickly devolved into a heated argument filled with insults, name-calling, and blaming for past mistakes. It was revealed that Natalia's mother had been dabbling in witchcraft- a path she acknowledged as being fraught with evil.
The two were casting blame upon each other when strange ancestral voices began to haunt Natalia as the result of being hexed by dearest mother. The magi took an obvious approach and decided to torch everything in sight, hoping to take down the physical house as well as Natalia's mother. Despite their efforts, no tangible results were achieved, but the witch's sanctum was reduced to ashes. While Natalia believed that she had secured victory in a short while, she soon realized that a dagger had been lodged into her side during the chaos of the hex and the smoke-like haze that gathered from the igniting of the house. Her vulnerability due to distraction from the spell ultimately allowed her mother to take advantage and possibly cease the threat that was her daughter. Sending Natalia crumpling to the ground and leaving an opportunity for mother to escape. To which she promptly did after some final words were whispered into Natalia’s ear. There was one final hex casted on Natalia from her mother, one that would serve to haunt her for decades to come with nightmares to nearly inhibit her ability to get some actual damn rest.
Despite the dire situation, Natalia's indomitable human spirit shone through as her house burned and crumbled before her eyes. Though smoke inhalation threatened to take her life, she refused to accept being roasted alive in her own home. Summoning all of her strength that remained, she rose from the ashes and dove outside into the snow - determined to escape and see the outside world for one last time. As life slowly drained out of her, Natalia gazed up at the sky and felt at peace with herself. However, she was soon interrupted by foreign sounds - a distant Eastern dialect and crunching footsteps drawing near. As everything went black, she felt a hand on her person. Passing out for the time being as everything went black.
Upon awakening, Natalia was quick to realize she was taken in by a group of traveling nomads who were traversing through the long winter and took note of the recent inferno at the house. Seeming to think Natalia was just a simple woman who got caught up in an accidental house fire, they took her in under their care and nursed her wounds. Natalia swore to herself to keep her magical prowess a secret and take an attempt at living a normal life and finding some peace and quiet.
Finding herself growing enamored with her savior and the feelings being returned. The duo were quickly hitched as Natalia had officially joined up with the group. Even producing a bastard daughter as a result of their new companionship. Following the years of picking the hobby of jewelry making with materials found and dealing with parenthood, everything seemed to be going just swell.
While rumors of the sons of Itiris were passed around, the group had been unable to yet see or make direct contact with them just yet. Until one daring night when the nomadic caravan had settled did they become assaulted by a small patrol of the cultist worshippers. The nomads fought back, even Natalia despite her near decade long oath of swearing off magic had to touch upon old habits of her former pyromancer life to defend her new family. While her magic wasn't at its strongest magical capability as before due to the nightmares all these past years constantly haunting and leaving her unable to properly get some rest. It took some major effort, even to the extend to get a good final bout of magma magic flowing through her trinkets, getting some results to help fend off the assault but at the cost of her trinkets backfiring and exploding. Scalding her left arm to the point of having almost appearing molten with magical rock.
Well shit. This was one opportunity ruined and the bridge burnt. Life amongst the nomadic group wasn’t going to be the same. Considering her options that she was going to put the others including her husband and daughter in even more danger, she had to part ways. Saying her farewell to the family and saying she’ll return or hope to see them once more as she gathered her things. Prompting for Natalia’s return to the kingdom to help settle a few more things. To get a final bit of payback on a certain witch, even regain her magic as it once was.
Other/Extra: As for starting items from my donation role. Burnt ash staff: A wooden staff with twin points at the end. The main appeal behind it is the almost dark wooden layer with streaks and patches of red scorching.

Magic Biography:
It all began with Natalia’s youth, living a simple life on a farmstead with her parents and her sister. Natalia’s father who was a sorcerer and a researcher of all things magical took to his studies while the rest of the family tolled to the farm. Questionable as her mother found his work to be, she allowed him to continue. At some point in their youth before the waves of the pact races encroached on their farm, the father took the two daughters into his studies to test their magical capabilities. While Anhelina did not seem to have a magical attunement, Natalia proved to have a linkage to one of her father’s fire trinkets. Choosing her as the heiress to continue his research in the future and a path of training for years to come supposedly.
Decades past and amidst the destruction and the final sacrificial act by her father to ensure the safety of the family through a magical onslaught against the attacking pact forces, this led to the surviving members to retreat to Falkvard. Causing more years of Natalia being harshly judged by her mother and scolded for her magical adeptness. Causing the deviant to run away from home as the family separated. Anhelina being dragged off by her mother to corners unknown.
Following the remainder of Natalia’s adulthood. She picked up different walks of life to continue her magical path, from bedding with men and women of a variety for favors to obtaining the currency to muster up some trinkets and training. Studying at the mage’s guild and books of magi before her. Piecing all her knowledge and skill together to be one of the first mages in the kingdom to bring forth magma magic, a pinnacle and door opener into further mixed magics. Even setting a name for herself prior to leaving the territory of the kingdom for her nomadic quest.
Please describe the magic system, including its limitations in your own words:
Some races on server such as ca’liar, avalti and half-demons are capable of casting up to a certain level of a specific aspect (Usually medium) without the use of a trinket. While others are capable of either learning a specific amount of aspects or being unable to use magic at all. It all begins with training for all who can use magic, through usage of a trinket or not. You need to start from the ground up, starting with the most novice of spells through character training and OOC time put in. Needing to get the effort in now if you want big results later.
Even a highly trained mage is going to tire themselves out, you can only cast so many spells during a battle before the effects begin to weigh in on you. You’ll get tired and then physically exhausted. You can take the risk and keep pushing yourself with the indomitable human spirit, but it places your character at the risk of simply falling over dead or getting the last fireball out before falling off. There are some ways of recovering your magic through use of potions, charms and talismans. End of the day however? Your character is going to need to rest or risk pulling both every physical and psychological muscle.
Please describe how you would use a weak trinket with your characters first/only aspect:
During her youth as an inexperienced fire mage, Natalia would utilize her novice level aspect to watch the candles around her house dance. Flickering the flames like a conductor at an opera. Other times, while her mother wasn’t looking and her younger sister needed a form of entertainment. Nat would perform some novice level magic tricks, sending out some sparks to catch a small bundle of hay and sticks to catch the tinder on fire or to merely get a reaction from Anhelia.
Good to see where Natalia's story has lead her after all these years! I can see why she would leave behind the family she formed for herself, which feels consistent with how the character seeks to carve away their own path in life.
I'll make sure to get that donator item lored up for you soon!
