@paninor Looks good to me. Just a reminder that you won't be starting off with any trinkets on the character! That being said your application is Accepted! It's likely that at this young age she'll be at the orphanage, just as a warning. The main one is the Falkvard orphanage.
While there are backstory items, these are usually reserved as donator or Player+ perks, and cannot give any advantage. Enchanted items are rare enough to warrant such an advantage, even if the enchantment is "useless," as enchantments are decently rare. She could also lose the prosthetic fingers she made in some way, as again she can't really start with them.
My suggestion is that she saw enchanted items for sale, but with a decent portion - albeit not huge - of the population capable of magic it's unlikely sellers wouldn't know they weren't magical. So she could see that the items were magical, but there'd be no way for an orphan to buy them.
Understandable just thought I'd check, I'll edit the backstory accordingly. Also I'm a bit curious on the having to lose prosthetics. I don't need an item just an ok to put them on the skin and have her grip with that hand not be so good in an irp sense?
@paninor I'll approve the simple prosthetics, but note that they're not really "prosthetics" so much as chunks of wood. They do more than nothing, but I see you understand that they're not really replacement for fingers anyway! Let me know when the story is edited.
Let me post the app here just for reference's sake:Character Name: Ruen
Race: Ash Elf
Age: 14
Gender: Female
Character Description:
(At least one to two paragraphs describing your character’s physical appearance, including height, eye color, and skin tone.)
A lanky 6”5 Ash-Elf with pale gray skin. Her curly off white hair goes well with her vibrant blue eyes and reaches her lower back, luckily helping to hide her many scars and bruises! Ruen can be quite a little clutz due to her damaged left eye and misshapen hand. Grip, depth perception, and general day to day life can be quite the pain but this by no means stops her. The ragged cloth mask she rarely takes off serves to hide her dislocated jaw and missing teeth. Even though she has to speak in a quieter tone so as to not move her jaw too much, she is still a cheery little one!
Character Occupation: (Optional)
(For us to understand your characters starting skill set, your character still will need to contact the Kingdom to purchase any property)
A tinkerer with a love for taking things apart and putting them back together to learn how they tick.
Character Personality/Traits:
(At least one to two paragraphs describing their personality traits and/or quirks.)
Ever since a young age Ruen was taught that it is always her fault, she is always the problem. Due to this she aims to be better and fix her mistakes. She takes “critique” in strides as something she can improve on. She doesn’t mind being hit, it’s only natural for people to be mad at her…. Though Ruen can get quite upset when she realizes she flinches anyways. It's just another problem to fix! Just like her toys she tinkers with, she’s fixable; she just needs to figure out how.
Character Biography:
(At least three paragraphs describing your character's history and experiences, you must reference server lore)
An infant's natural instinct is to reach out to its mother. Newborn hands raised up towards the one who will nurture and protect them till the end.
SNAP
The child learned all too soon that this was not the case, and a permanent reminder of such would follow them till their dying days
“Mistake is far too kind…. Insignificant flesh, monstrous existence, confounded conception. Had one known a parasite as such was growing within, one would have swiftly brought demise upon your unfortunate proliferation.” The High-Elf coldly surveyed her accidental creation, the lowest of the low. An Ash-Elf
Ruen was the title dubbed upon this poor creature. A loathsome stew of regret, a blemish upon the High-Elve’s life that could never be purged. As to not sully her name more she chose to show mercy to this pest. She set it free upon the streets in hopes to never find it again, live or die.
The plague upon elven kind was not to be given a glimmer of kindness, not even a soft smile, it should rot. Those who sadly took pity on it sent it to an orphanage. Maybe the scum of the living would find worth among fellow trash?

Magic Biography; Explain your character's magic through backstory application:
(At least 3 well-crafted paragraphs. You must describe why your Ash Elf can use their form of magic, where they discovered they were magically gifted, and what benefits this brings to your Ash Elf. We will not accept magic applications that are simply "My Ash Elf can use their magic because this and wants to use it because it'll help him and for RP!)
Ruen was tossed from orphanage to orphanage for the most part of her early years. Being hardly able to make friends for the short time she spent in one place, she grew very attached to little trinkets and such. Just a button or wobbly spring was enough to keep her busy for hours! Though her interests did extend much further to more complex items. If left alone for too long she would take apart a door or chair just to figure out how it was put together. Everything around her was simply a puzzle to be solved to a new toy to get lost with.
While she would get into trouble for these behaviors she didn’t stop. Far from it actually, she enjoyed the attention she was given whether it be to be scolded and beaten or praised for her interesting mind. Some of the nicer places Ruen was kept in gave small allowances for jobs. Other children would clean the floor or help prepare food while Ruen would fix carriages and stoves. After taking apart so many things it was child's play to fix them. She got to buy any funny looking trinket or thingy she could afford, usually this meant better things than the other kids.
In general stores she would spend hours looking through every item in the shop until one ‘spoke’ to her. Ruen had no idea why but sometimes things just seemed understood to her. Usually these talking toys would be labeled strangely as “magic” or “enchanted” or even the most confusing “75% off - broken”
Ruen wouldn’t hesitate to buy all of the fun bits and bobs that did funny things no matter how odd the price. Still to this day she doesn’t understand why her collection does what it does. This does only serve to work harder to find what makes these things tick.
Please explain, in your own words, the limits Ash-Elves have placed on them:
(This should be one to two well-made paragraphs)
Ash-Elves can’t do “magic” in the sense of casting or enchanting. Instead they interact in unique ways most can’t. A non-magic user wouldn’t be able to tell if an item was magical or enchanted like a mage could. An Ash-Elf would come across this item and see its magical properties. They see not only that it is magical but it’s alignment and enchanted properties.
What they lack in “magic” they also make up for in how they use magical items. Compared to any other mage an Ash-Elf will expend far less energy. They also can use enchantments with time limits much sooner than other magic users. Magical and enchanted items just come easier to this race. They may be limited heavily by magic but they still understand it in some ways.
Please give a description of the magic system in your own words:
Some are born with magic capabilities so they can interact with magical items and use such to create special instances of things like fire. Doing bigger damage and aoe takes much more mana and energy as well as more training/experience along with the power of the trinket the magic will flow through.

AAAA I'm so sorry I never fixed it I got horribly sick! I just revised everything and hopefully it's all in order...
Your application is Pending.
