Either in a loveable goofy way or a seductive and lustful way. Whatever it is, she's going to try her best to entertain people. She always wants to make people smile. She loves it. She always loves having conversations with people. Even though she doesn't speak words. She'll often only write in a book. Character Biography:
Luckily for Cherry, her life was pretty simple. Especially when you have a high elven soldier father. Luckily for Charoite, her father didn't exactly care for the social norms. He had found a beauty of both looks and brains and that was a simple female human farmer. They spent quite some time together and eventually fell in love. Sadly, even if they loved each other, he knew the Elves wouldn't accept the fact one of their own was with a human. So to protect her, they simply stayed together like husband and wife. They even decided to have a child. And that child was the future jester, Charoite.
At a young age, Charoite, or cherry for short, was always into adventure and having fun. Epically being attached to her father. The father could've been happier. A beautiful baby girl. The father would spoil this little girl and she didn't mind it! One day, a festival came around and Cherry's family decided to go. Even though there were many attractions, Cherry's eyes were set on this color man. A Jester, juggling and playing with fire. She could watch this guy for hours. Of course, that is obviously not possible. But even though, after the festival was done, Cherry would take it upon herself to visit the jester, watching his acts. Eventually, after watching the performance, she'd ask the man if she could be his apprentice in the jester art
Of course, he was a bit skeptical about it. Teaching a young child to do the tricks he did. But he felt that eventually he'll need to retire. So he decided to take her as an apprentice. For two years, twice a week, she'd visit the jester and learn a new trick, while learning some fighting and training skills. This part always confused Cherry at the time. But then she realized why the jester was so good at their tricks. Being able to handle standing for so long and balance in one hand, he worked out his muscles. To have good aim and practice, he practiced his aim with Archery and throwing knives. Thus was not only Cherry's practice to be a great entertainer. But in case of attacks, self defense.
Each day she learned a new trick, she'd show it off to her father and mother and her little sister. They enjoyed it well. For a good few years, about 5, this routine continued. Practice and then show it off to her family. But one day on her way back home, she saw her father hugging her mother and sister as they cried. Curious, she confronted the father and he revealed that he was being forced to fight within the war. All Humans, Elves and Dwarves must defend the kingdom. And being a soldier, he was obligated to fight. Cherry cried and tried to convince her father not to go but sadly the cart to pick up the soldiers was here. The father looked at her with his same happy smile and told her:
"Never stop doing what you want to do. Always make people smile in these trying times."
With a final goodbye, the father left for his camp. And sadly, never returned that day. But as promised, Cherry never gave up her chance to become a great entertainer. She practiced her hardest, getting hurt but always getting back up. She wanted to practice as much as she could for her father's return. One day… But matters only got worse. Within Cherry's 20s, she feels as though she's finally mastered her skills. But felt she could learn more. With a smile on her face and her head held high, she headed back to her trainer, a little cake within her hands to give him as a thank you. But once again, all good things must come to an end, the jester was packing up and ready to live. Cherry managed to find the man before he could leave and ask why he was living.
"I've been picked to fight within the war…" He says in disappointment.
Cherry didn't understand. Why would they pick a jester to fight within a war? Not only were they winning, things at the town were worsening. Winter was coming and there was a huge undead problem outside the walls. The jester laughed and placed his top hat onto her head. Reveal that he was a retired guard captain for a human town that had fallen. He became a jester because he believed that if he couldn't protect people, the least he could do was make them smile. Cherry eyes watered as she already lost her father, she didn't want to lose her teacher too. The jester smiled and placed a finger to her lips.
"This is the last teaching. Never reveal who you truly are under the mask to anyone you do not truly trust."
With this, the jester left town. And that was the last she's ever seen of him. After his disappearance, Cherry tried using the skills she learned to lighten up the town she was raised in to keep people distracted from the devastation of those around her. But it didn't help. Is this what her life will be like… Trying to entertain those who have no sense of humor or like laughs? No, she didn't spend nearly 25 years in training to waste it here. With everything packed at home, old weapons her father had and kiss goodbye to her little sister and her mother, Cherry set out to entertain any town she came across making money doing street performances, festivals and theater acts. A goal set in mind as well. Something she had to do. Or rather… Someone to find.

I'd like a point of clarification. Is the father a deserter? The Elves would probably punish him far more harshly for that than for having a Half-Elven child. Elven empire is much stricter about the army than humans are, as well. Leaving isn't really as much of an option, so I just want some details on how that relationship existed. Also, people weren't really "picked" to fight in the war. With Barkamsted being the last true bastion of resistance against the Pact, pretty much anyone who could would fight.
I also want to know more about the 30 odd years that separated her from the end of the war and the present. A lot has happened between those two points!
