I just want clarification on the magic application. Everything else seems in order, but please be aware that you can't start with a trinket, so at some point Sips would have to lose it in some way. While the example used is pretty excellent, I also want to note that with it being their first time casting it could be quite confusing for them!
I'm fully aware they wouldn't start with it, just using it as the example that correlates to their story. They most likely lost it somewhere along the way and thank you <3 and Yes it was meant to be demonstrated as confusing and exhausting hence why they only did such a simple thing
Gender: “Du nots define Sips to silly humans tings.” [Female]
Character Description:
Sips is a rather meager creature only standing at a lowly 3’. Their body consists of mostly skin and bones mixed with the muck of sewage stenches and earthy tones. Sips skin holds a soft green tone harshly marked here and there with scars, scrapes, and scabs. They are often dressed in rags while attempting to steal riches.
(Hair is either a wig or real dependant on the roll taken by Whitelisting team)
Character Occupation:
Amatuar Thief and Intel gatherer. Sips has spent most of their life simply trying to get by via less ‘legal’ means. With this they have encountered things such as mighty riches, the lowest of lows…And even, dark magic.
Character Personality/Traits:Sips is a thief by trade, this means they tend to take law with a grain of salt. With this forms the habit of dishonesty and covert planning. While they are not one to often screw someone over they will never take a deal they don’t find great benefit from first. Trust is not something they give so easily and must be earned by great action.
Stren̷gths:
Creative: “ Maybe if Sips puts these things together. They might make this!”
Sneaky: “Can not catch Sips, too small, too fast.”
Stubborn: “Sips did not get this far by giving up so easily!”
Weaknesses:
Sly: “Sips could be telling the truth, for a price.”
Fearful: “Sips only a little guy, you wouldn’t hurt Sips yes? Right?”
Dishonest: “Sips promise, Sips super good, best people even.”
Character Biography:
Having only been in this world for a short time Sips was not fully exposed to all the terrors of the world. Thirteen years, that’s all they had on them. Being born the runt of their litter to a large family of her kin during the time of the blight what little food existed for her family was harshly portioned to those who did survive. Least likely to survive, her mother took pity upon her splitting her own rations with the tiny child. Even with the spare rations the food was little this led to common issues of malnourishment leading to the shortened stature of the goblin child. Though, this was the least of their concerns. With the blight and little funds Sips’ family suffered harshly, the paltry sum of their jobs pay hardly sustained such a family of their size. She watched as the woman who raised her and her siblings became more and more worn down. The fear of aging set deep within the young one’s bones. She couldn’t stand to end up so withered and beaten by circumstance. Thus she promised to make a difference for herself, something worth living for. Old enough to leave home Sips took the first chance to get out of there, with not even a goodbye to the woman who raised her she ventured deeper into the slums of Falkvard; she was determined to make a life for herself, something worth fighting for. Though starting small she saw coin pouches and unsuspecting folk that would be ripe for the picking. In the current date Sips carefully snags each coin purse or bread she can just to get by.

Magic Biography:
As a child Sips never was one to believe in magic, what was it but some charlatans trick attempting to soothe or shock people. She preferred things that were physical, exact, wondrous things that could be created without the use of magic. At least that was always the hope she held. She was not one to assume, she never had the resources to sway her in either direction. Only her own opinion, which she valued like gold.
Finally when Sips was old enough to leave the nest, and at her earliest date she chose to. Though living in the slums her life never really had gone on the up and up. Shady figures, dangers all around she found solace in her size being able to weave and bob through crowds with ease. That was until she met him, a man in rags like her own; yet his teeth-lacking-grin said something different. “Magical things, magical things. For you, for me, with something to gain.” He spoke in riddles and rhyme luring the young goblin in.
He promised trinkets of magical value, and surely Sips thought it was some hoax, though her mind was mostly elsewhere. She was thinking that if someone did believe him surely he had gotten some coin she could nab. That was until he pulled out a shiny black feather tipped in a reddish metal. “Dark magic, real cheap kid.” He promised in his sickly coos. She looked at him as her hand wandered forward carefully grasping the trinket. Her sight went dark, as she saw shadows dance and form around her. She gasped holding on tight, as her vision returned she saw her own shadow, the shadow of the man shaking and shaping into something new. She moved a hand and with great effort carefully tugged them closer. She had found her aspect, something she adored. Shadows, darkness, a thieves best friend.
Please describe the magic system, including its limitations in your own words:
(Two Paragraphs, please mention how one would cast, the limitations to casting and specific races, and the consequences of overuse)
Magic is separated into three distinct categories; Elemental, Outlier, and finally Soul. with different aspects under each section; an example of this is Dark Magic being under the Soul category. Characters are often either born or taught the ability to use a set number of aspects, some even get the blessing of Bothimir granting them with said ability.
Most races have a set number of aspects of which they are able to use, in Sips case this would be one. Soul Magic in the Dark Magic sub-section. To train one’s magic they start at the weak aspect slowly working over over the time your character ICly trains. Training with a teacher however shortens the amount of time it would normally take one progress however such is not required for advancement.
Please describe how you would use a weak trinket with your characters first/only aspect:
Having stolen the trinket off of the shady man, Sips had begun using it within their jobs. Distractions, that’s what they knew it was best for. During one late evening they were running from some guards. Down an alleyway and to an intersection they had to decide where they could go. So they take out the quill, focusing their energy as they flick it, moving one of the existing shadows to look like their small frame was running down the path one way as they hide behind a barrel down the other path taking a deep breath as they feel the exhaustion of casting linger in their chest.. Luckily the guards fell for the trick running down the path away from where Sips was and allowing the goblin to get away from the trouble.
