I am taking on a blacksmithing apprentice to learn the secrets of the art under the Merchants' Guild system, so that they may in time become masters in their own right and represent the craft.
What you may expect:
A full apprenticeship course beginning from the lowest level. You will start off as a novice and work your way into an apprentice and, eventually, a journeyman who shall be capable of working on their own and alongside smiths other than myself. Once you are ready you will also be judged for mastery.
Learning how to work with iron, steel, cold iron, spectral, silver, gold, and any other metals and materials I am capable of teaching, as well as recommendation to learn Dwarven Steel if you are in good standing with the Dwarves and the Kingdom.
Access to a forge and materials provided free of charge for projects relating to your apprenticeship.
Help with becoming a fully-fledged blacksmith in time.
What I expect of you:
Be respectful and in good standing with the Kingdom. As my apprentice you will partly represent me, and thus stains on your honour may reflect badly on my own.
Become a member of the Merchants' Guild as soon as you can. This apprenticeship is sponsored by the Guild and will require communication with other Guild members. Its eventual success is certified by the Guild too.
30% of income made under the apprenticeship will go to me (more if material costs exceed that).
A willingness to learn and to teach others. I am not interested in those who hoard information.
Due to the specifics of where a forge may eventually be built, you may not be related to any of the Pact Races or a Dark Elf. This is simply a limitation of the area I plan to eventually use for my work.
