What does it mean to be a moderator:
A moderator is someone who upholds the rules and exceeds the expectations within those rules. Whereas a player might get away with few minor things here and there, a staff member should not think of that as they are a representative of the server. Outside of that~
They perform tasks to make the job of other staff members a bit easier by taking helpops which help relieve other staff members to do their planning for events as well as loring items. They may also be asked to help out in events from time to time.
Former Experience:
A few other minecraft servers, I may or may not have moderated for a SS13 server at one point, and tutoring! I consider tutoring a huge experience bonus as it requires working with people delicately in situations that they themselves might be uncomfortable in, for a whole slew of reasons. It's about breaking that barrier and helping lead them to a better understanding of the subject and can be applied to many leadership/staff positions.
Why do you want to become a moderator:
My love for the server and helping people! To put exactly why in words is a bit hard for me. This is a community that I cherish and enjoy. Something I want to see continuing to prosper and I want to help keep it prospering. I've been bettering myself over the past year and am quite stable in all matters of life. I still have my moments, but have learned from them and find myself quickly catching onto some of the issues I've had prior and stopped them. This was thanks to a lot of people on server and I feel that I have become a better person from all your guys' help.

What does it mean to be a moderator: Being a moderator is an important role in the community designed to help support both staff and player experience by providing support to both sides in a number of ways. Everything from player interactions, helping to mitigate and manage player concerns, being an accessible point of contact to help player experience, and helping to handle important tasks such as player farms, the viewing of rolls, hunts, etc. are all some few ways moderators help support our community and staff teams. However, that being said, there is more to being a moderator than just running hunts and handling tasks. Moderators take on many responsibilities and support staff in a number of ways unseen. And their responsibility to the community goes just beyond facilitating play. Being a personable, approachable figure in the community is key to being sure that players can reach staff with their concerns - regardless of staff rank.
Former Experience: I have been in every role of administration for several heavy RP servers, save for being a server owner. While none were in Minecraft itself, I have been a moderator, admin, senior admin, and game master on SS13 for several years. I am not currently, but in the past spent nearly five years as a staff member facilitating events, enforcing rules, and trying to mediate player interactions and issues for a community.
Why do you want to become a moderator: This community has given me a lot of interesting and memorable times over the years. The community has been there for me, understood me when I was down, and tried to build me up. We may fight sometimes, we may banter, and we sometimes have our grating moments, but we always come through it. With new players around and seemingly sticking, it's about time I give back a bit and help lighten the load for the hard working staff members. (Plus I can finally end the meme of having player kills as a regular player lol)
How often will you be available: I am free every day of the week currently until around 12 AM, save Wednesday night. However, if I get a job before I head off to get my masters, that amount will likely shrink, but I will still try to make myself available every day if need be.

What does it mean to be a moderator:
A moderator is someone who helps oversee rules and safety for everyone in the community. They also play a pivotal role in helping characters grow by picking up helpops and assisting players in all those tend to entail. This also helps other staff members alleviate from helpops and allow them to work on loring items, planning events, building, etc.
As with any staff member, they must be capable of being a role model to the community. Following rules and setting the example when ever possible. Due to it being a staff position as any other, the moderator must be capable of being impartial in events and other situations as they have access to information that could easily be metagamed.
Former Experience:
I've been a moderator on a few minecraft servers years ago, including one RP server briefly before the project was scraped. Skills include such things like, plug-ins, meetings, oversight, and enforcing rules.
Why do you want to become a moderator:
I love the community and server. I wish to help it where I can to put it simply. I'm in a situation where I am far more capable of being available and understanding my emotions. I've grown a lot I believe, but there's always some growing to be had, which I hope some of that includes helping with the server.
In the past, I've had issues with my anger and while I don't want to blame it purely on my own unmedicated bipolar disorder, it was a major reason combined with life things. I'm better now that I am medicated and have learned some coping skills along with people I can lean on.

What does it mean to be a moderator:
A moderator helps to maintain the day-to-day operations of the server and assist players with in-world interactions or server-related problems. They help keep an eye on potential community issues, and communicate with the staff team to make sure the details of the world and rulings for players remain consistent.
This requires a moderator to set aside many of their usual goals, with characters typically progressing more slowly, and less able to participate in events. Events are often spoiled for the moderator, and they must be able to keep a lid on information which could be abused through metagaming.
They must be an excellent example of following server rules, both in interactions with the community as well as in-character. A moderator has access to information which could easily be metagamed, and a responsibility to remain impartial on rulings and to avoid powergaming. At the end of the day, a moderator is someone who helps the players roleplay in a safe, fair, and fun environment. That can be reflected in herb hunts, building, running minor events, reporting broken rules, mediating IC fights, or solving issues such as a mechanically missing item.
Former Experience:
I’ve been an ordinary roleplayer for about six years, the great majority of which has been on this server. I’ve pretty much grown up here, with the community helping to shape my personality and my roleplaying ability. I have about a year’s experience of DMing in fifth edition D&D and writing plot lines and mechanics for it, but for the most part I’m inexperienced in running events. My strongest points are in my understanding of the server and how its mechanics are balanced from an rp and gameplay perspective.
Why do you want to become a moderator: I’d like to help run the weekly events, and pick up GM requests. Running server events is an interest of mine and I feel that I could help out. I’m specifically interested in picking up background things like the wandering goblin nests, learning how to run elven politics, criminal activity in the city, or other things which could help players to interact with things that are going on sometimes unseen in Saphriel. I'm also interested in potentially helping with miscellaneous plugins, as I'm an amateur but do have some ability to make simple Spigot plugins.
How often will you be available: I work a 10-7 est, which leaves me unavailable most Weekdays besides Thursday unless it runs later. I’m looking into a change of work which could leave me with a more open schedule. I’m always going to have Saturdays off as due to religious reasons I won’t work a job that has that day on my schedule.
