Appearance and Traits:

There are two types of Half-Elves, Half-Dark Elves and Half-High Elves. Half-Dark Elves are far rarer than their Half-High Elven counter parts due to Dark-Elven genes often taking hold in mixed breed children, resulting in full-blooded Dark-Elves rather than a Half-Elf. However, when these Half-Dark Elves are created, due to their Dark-Elven nature they are incapable of using magic. Their traits can be encompass wide range of those both human and Dark-Elven. They can have pointed ears, red eyes, and white hair such as a normal Dark-Elf would have, though this does not always hold true; these traits have been seen absent, though in the case of lacking pointed ears this is exceptionally rare. A Half-High Elf, on the other hand, has a fairer appearance due to their High-Elven blood, though they also maintain a rugged, humanlike form. They can have pointed ears, lighter skin tones, and a wide variety of brightly colored hair or eyes. At around the age of 30 their physical appearance will stop its aging, leaving them looking to be in their mid twenties until their final few years, where they will finally begin to show signs of age once more. Half-Dark Elves tend to stand anywhere between five and six feet, while half-High elves often stand between six and seven feet. It is exceptionally rare to go above or below this range. They possess magical potential, but unlike normal High-Elves they only have 3 aspects like a human would have. They reach sexual maturity at the age of 20, and adulthood at 27. Typically they live anywhere from 200-230 years.

History:
​
The Half-Elves have never truly had a set home or people, and were often treated as a lesser race due to their mixed blood. Oftentimes they were referred to as "Mud-Elves" by the High-Elves, by far the most racist and segregated of the races towards the half breeds. For most of history Half-Elves have been pariahs, excluded from most if not all High-Elven cities before the Pact War. Anyone in these cities found to have relations with a Half-Elf would often be exiled for the act. Due to this, most Half-Elves have been found living amongst human civilizations; very rarely Half-Dark Elves were found living amongst the slightly less segregated Dark-Elven villages along the forest floors of the realm. As an unorganized race with no major cities of their own, they have no set culture and most often take to the customs of whatever society or people they end up growing up with.
